Dark Roast Hojicha Powder

The leaves of this green tea have been roasted at a high temperature, which gives the tea a coffee-like color and a pleasant nutty flavor. Due to this roasting process, Hojicha is very low in caffeine. This tea is ideal to accompany meals and perfect for evening consumption.

Add ½ to 1 tsp of sifted dark roast Hojicha powder to a bowl. Pour in water at 80–85 °C, then whisk with a chasen (bamboo whisk).tea whisk (chasen)until a nice froth forms.
